In a career that is unpredictable and quite demanding of time, it can be difficult to plan a vacation away. Most trips need to be spontaneous to say the least. So that is exactly what happened over the Christmas holidays. Destination: JAPAN.
While looking in to places to go over the holidays my wife and I came to the decision that we wanted to go to Japan. Once the decision was made, o ...

Grand Wedding Show (written by Ryan Zupan - Is there something you want to share with us Ryan?)
Dining, dancing, dessert’ing,
bouquet throwing, garter catching, midnight snacking, & drinking… normally
when I think of weddings, my liver shakes with excitement, but when it’s your wedding, gentlemen, it is not your liver, but your entire body that shakes
with dread at the endless discuss ...

personally in our beautiful city of Vancouver, but not today. I have been
unable to bring myself to spend the $100 dollars required to buy a Dragon Dog

Indoor Sky Diving @ The Fly ZoneIt’s a bird… It’s a plane… It’s a blast!Walking into the Fly Zone, right away my eyes were drawn to the photos surrounding the front desk: suspended in mid-air, no walls, no safety net, just bodies hovering, Superman-style, like birds in the wind. Very, very cool.
The Fly Zone is yet another example of the supremely cool activities available in our beloved co ...

Gelateria Dolce Amore
We may be a season too late for this, but Gelateria Dolce
Amore is home to the best gelato in the city. Nuzzled in the heart of Vancouver’s “Little Italy” on
Commercial Dr., the family owned shop specializes in small batches of
handcrafted gelato goodness & mamma mia are their scoops delicious.
I recently had the finest scoop of gelato to date with Black
Forest, ...

Scooter Time!
Riding a scooter may feel a tad ridiculous, at first, but it’s
also ridiculously fun & one of the dwindling number activities easy on the
pocketbook these days. While
entertaining some university buds from out of town, we resolved to rent some
49cc beasts & ended up having the best afternoon.
At only $16 / hour + gas (roughly $0.65 / hour… seriously), our
grand total f ...

Finding the entrance to this place almost seems like you are going somewhere you shouldn’t as you slide by the chain link fence entrance to the Sailing Club compound.
Upstairs you are greeted by a ...
